On Teaching
A marathon.
But more like a sprint.
While juggling.
Plates.
Delicate, beautiful, unique, fine China plates.
While riding a unicycle.
And balancing on a tightrope.
Then suddenly, that one, sole, important plate teeters.
And it all comes tumbling down.

You crash.
A fellow ‘athlete’ comes by.
Helps you up.
Because they, too, are in this race.
But they don’t care about their time.
They just know they have to finish.
